What's included for free vs. Sow Plus?

Sow is free to use with generous features. Here's a comparison:

  • Free: Unlimited devotionals, Bible reading (KJV, NLT), journaling, sermon notes, voice prayer recording, verse highlighting, iCloud sync across all your Apple devices, and 2 Ask Sow (AI chat) messages per day.
  • Sow Plus: Everything in Free, plus 100 Ask Sow messages per day, unlimited custom Bible reading plans, unlimited shared plans, and spiritual habit insights.

Sow Plus is available as a monthly subscription, annual subscription (best value), or a one-time lifetime purchase.

What is Ask Sow?

Ask Sow is an AI-powered chat assistant that helps you explore Scripture. You can ask questions about the passage you're reading, request historical context, discover key themes, or find application ideas. It's available as an overlay in the Bible tab and during the Passage step of your devotional.

Ask Sow is designed to be a helpful study companion, not a replacement for pastoral guidance, professional counseling, or crisis support. Free users get 2 messages per day; Sow Plus users get 100.

Is my data synced across devices?

Yes! iCloud sync is available for all users — free and Plus. Your devotionals are automatically synced across all your Apple devices signed into the same iCloud account.

How do I restore my purchases?

Go to the paywall screen and tap "Restore" at the bottom. This will restore any previous purchases linked to your Apple ID.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Find Sow and tap Cancel Subscription. Your Plus features will remain active until the end of your current billing period.

What happens to my data if I cancel Sow Plus?

Your devotional entries remain on your device and continue to sync via iCloud after cancellation. iCloud sync is a free feature available to all users. You will lose access to Plus-only features like expanded Ask Sow messages, unlimited custom plans, and spiritual habit insights.

Can I export my devotional entries?

We are working on adding export functionality. In the meantime, contact us at eden.devotional@gmail.com if you need a copy of your data.

How do I delete my account and data?

To delete your data from Sow:

  • Delete individual entries: Swipe to delete entries in the Archive tab within the app.
  • Delete all local data: Uninstall the app from your device.
  • Delete iCloud data: Go to Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Manage Storage, and remove Sow data.
  • Revoke sign-in access: For Apple, go to Settings > [Your Name] > Sign-In & Security > Sign in with Apple. For Google, visit your Google Account security settings.

To request complete deletion of any server-side data (authentication sessions), contact us at eden.devotional@gmail.com. We will process your request within 30 days.

How do I manage my privacy settings?

You can opt out of anonymous analytics at any time by going to the Profile tab in the app and toggling off "Share Usage Data." This immediately stops all analytics collection. Your devotional content is never included in analytics — only anonymous feature usage events are tracked.

Is my data used to train AI?

No. Your devotional entries, prayers, and reflections are never sent to any AI service. When you use Ask Sow, only your chat messages are sent to OpenAI for processing, and OpenAI does not use API data to train their models. Chat conversations are stored only on your device.
